With Revit families modeled you allow architects to use them in their Revit
models, in that way they will advertise you.
Autodesk Revit families are 3D models of all elements of an object. They can be parts of interiors, equipment or exteriors.
When an architect wants to present the interior to the investor, he puts the furniture and all the equipment in the buildings 3D model and makes 3D rendering or shows it in 3D. In order to fully experience the space, it is necessary that furniture and furnishings are made in a quality manner, as close as possible to the real ones.
Six steps FROM your REVIT 3D model.
Our BIM manager will collect from furniture manufacturers, equipment, etc. technical information sheets containing product information such as dimensions, parameters and other technical information. We will photograph products and collect information about materialization in order to properly model the products in Revit family.
If the manufacturer does not have CAD documentation with all sizes of products, with various measurements, we will have to collect the exact dimensions. In this case, some inaccuracies in the families can appear.
Will model conceptual templates of different types of products to the subsequent creation of specific families to get and maintain consistency in quality.
We will optimize the way your family displays, trying to increase their performance in the Revit itself, but not at the expense of looks. We will add 2D views to families because this reduces the complexity of the family.
When the product is engineered in Revita,we will add 2D views in different levels of display quality and examined a visual approach to parametrization.
BIM Manager adds instance parameters and parameter types. We add схеред parameters , which we will later use to tag the products in the drawings as well as the specifications. Some of the parameters that we will add are: Uniformat Assembly Code, Keynote, Material, Manufacturer URL as well as any other information we previously agreed with the manufacturer.
Creating family type or family catalogs for using efficiency.
If the product has fewer types (up to 10 different), we will create types within the family. An example of such products are chairs. One type of chair will have several types depending on the material used, however, if we model the steel profiles we will have over 100 different “L” profiles. In case of “L” profile we will make a catalog of the product.
When a user uses a “chairs” family, he will be able to choose, from within the family itself, which type he will use, in other case when user inserts “L” family he will be asked which family types he will to insert.
We will check that families are purged of lines or CAD files that were included in the modeling process in order to reduce the size of families files.
We will insert all the families into the project and try them. We will check that the family’s appearance is correct with every detail (Coarse, Medium and Fine).
